Small town charm with cosmopolitan flair.

Only 1.8 square miles, West Chester is teeming with 19th-century charm. Nearly 90 percent of this picture-perfect place, with its lovely town center and famed brick sidewalks, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

West Chester's old-town charm is attracting individuals of all ages, including college students who attend West Chester University, young professionals who work in the surrounding area, and families and empty-nesters who enjoy its walk-ability and sense of community.

Downtown is a destination. It offers more than 57 restaurants and eateries, in addition to 77 retail shops plus museums, art galleries, and many year-round special events.
