The West Chester Business Improvement District is dedicated to providing the highest level of service for those who visit the downtown for business or pleasure.

Located in the beautiful Brandywine Valley, West Chester is the County Seat of Pennsylvania's Chester County, and boasts a healthy economy with an anticipated growth rate of four percent through 2012.

More than 475 businesses are within West Chester's Business Improvement District. A bastion of sole-proprietor shops it features restaurants, art galleries, and professional services. Among the community's largest employers are QVC, West Chester School District, West Chester University, and County Government.

Additionally, West Chester's proximity to the Great Valley puts residents within reach of employment opportunities in the pharmaceutical, financial, healthcare, and information technologies industries. Of the many accessible employers in the region, notables include Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Vanguard Group, and Unisys Corporation.
