The New Hope business community invites you to come out each month for a special evening of fun, food and arts. Many of the businesses in town offer special events. Everything from art exhibitions and demonstrations to receptions can be found in our downtown.

Holiday Tree Lighting

Bristol residents, dignitaries, and visitors and their families gather around the holiday tree every year on the Friday after Thanksgiving to ring in the holiday season by lighting the tree. The Men of Harmony perform and many that gather sing along as Santa Claus arrives by fire truck to light the tree. Candy canes, hot chocolate, and cookies will be served to all. Festivities start at 6:30 and Santa arrives at 7pm.

Firebird Festival

This event is in honor of Phoenixville's namesake, the Phoenix. The Phoenix myth represents transformation: life, death, and rebirth. This community event involves artists who design and build a 25 foot Phoenix sculpture that will burn at the bonfire at 8pm the night of the event. Inside are over 100 clay birds built by the community which represent rebirth.

For only $5 and a donation of two (2) non-perishable food items, you can get your picture taken with Santa between the hours of 8 am – 12 pm during the Glassboro High School Music Booster Breakfast at Glassboro High School.
